Qosmotec awarded with „CELTIC Excellence Award for Applications 2020“

The industrial research project ReICOvAir (Reliable Industrial Communication over the Air), where Qosmotec took over a leading role as system integrator, is this year’s excellence award winner within the European CELTIC funding program.

The international industrial research project was carried out from 2016 to 2018 by a consortium of 12 companies and research institutes from Germany, Finland and Spain. The topic of the project was the research of radio wave propagation in industrial environments. This is of particular importance for the wireless communication of machines, which is used for the construction of Industry 4.0 enabled factories.

The role of Qosmotec was to develop a software application that used the research results of the participating Fraunhofer Institutes IIS and HHI from Erlangen and Berlin as well as ifak from Magdeburg to control a radio channel emulator. The project was supported by public funds of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
