Qosmotec Achieves ISO 9001 Certification |
Qosmotec Software Solutions GmbH became ISO 9001:2000 certified October 27th, 2005. The certification audit, conducted by TÜV Nord, took place end of June 2005. The certificate with registration no. 04 100 20051201 is valid until October 26th, 2008 and will be verified by means of annual intermediate audits. Qosmotec wishes to thank Mr. Ludger Hamacher, E-W-Q GmbH, for leading us to the audit, and Mrs. Ute Kleine / Mr. Klaus Trompeter (TQM auditors/freelancers, EQ ZERT) for performing a test audit.
The ISO 9001 certification is an important step in Qosmotec’s company history. Qosmotec offers tools for its customers to assess the quality of their products, and hence it is quite natural for our customers to expect that we apply the same standards to our own work, and this we can now document officially.
Qosmotec’s quality management system is fully electronic, based on a database of documents, accessible via web browsers and under automatic version control, so that only the most current release of each document is visible to the employees. Qosmotec’s easy-to-use on-line quality management system was well received by our TQM consultants. They encouraged us to offer the implementation of similar systems to their clientele. Qosmotec has applied for a patent on our particular quality management methodology and plans to run its promotion & sales as a small-scale independent side-business.

PESQ voice quality analysis integrated into LTS |
PESQ, the new industry standard for perceptual voice quality testing according to ITU-T rec. P.862 [2001], combines PSQM with PAMS, optimized for VoIP and hybrid end-to-end applications, MOS and MOS-LQ calculations LTS now has the option to transmit customer defined or standardised voice samples during a voice call and perform the PESQ analysis on the received signal.
The quality evaluation can be done in both direction, i.e. the audio signal from MOC to MTC and vice versa. This give the option to use LTS for fully automated and unattended audio quality measurements and compare the quality depending on area and time of the transmission (depending on the setup of LTS). The integration is available for LTS as well as for LTS-F.
