| Company History |
Qosmotec Software Solutions GmbH was founded by three computer science engineers with experience in mobile network testing since 1995. Two of them originally worked in the test department of a leading mobile network manufacturer. In 2001, the group left their employer to bring their knowledge and products to the open market and joined Condat AG, who was renowned for offering test systems and mobile protocol stacks. A local development centre for test tools was established in Aachen. The idea for the AIS tools originated here, and the LTS tool was completely redesigned by the Condat Aachen development team.
As part of a re-organisation in Condat, the founder team acquired the rights on the AIS and LTS test platform in a management buy-out and established Qosmotec Software Solutions as an independent company December 23rd, 2003, taking over most of the Condat Aachen team.
During its initial year, Qosmotec established a network of multiple distributors and suppliers worldwide, and was able to acquire an exquisite selection of customers, including 4 of the leading network manufacturers and three major network providers. Thus, the company achieved a positive result in 2004. The tool portfolio was enhanced with new features such as OSS control and GSM-ASCI tests, and extended with new products, like the LTS/ LTS-F Test Case Editor and the Shielded Mobile Box with optional Mobile Reset Solution.
In 2004, Qosmotec exhibited at the 3GSM World Congress partnering with Condat AG, and was represented by distributors at CTIA Wireless Atlanta/ Georgia/ USA and at Next Generation Wireless Technology Exhibition & Conference, Tokyo/ Japan. In 2005, Qosmotec had its own booth at 3GSM World and exhibits at Cebit in Hannover/ Germany. More events are planned and will be announced on these pages.
Based on more than 10 years of individual experience in mobile network testing and on a tool platform established since 5 years, Qosmotec has achieved a strong foothold in the mobile industry in only one year. Be prepared to hear more from us! |
