Qosmotec Reveals Cause of Mysterious Call Drops in Tunnels
One major European UMTS operator was plagued by unexplained drops of data calls inside railway tunnels equipped with radio repeaters. The problem only occurred inside high-speed trains, despite the fact that their network had passed all standard 3GPP high-speed train tests in the lab with no difficulty.
