LTS can be installed on a laptop computer with one or several mobiles (potentially with UMTS or EDGE terminals) in order to be used as a portable measurement system.
Network quality and performance can thus be determined within the live network at any place, e.g. during a drive test.
A GPS receiver can be added to correlate measurements with locations. Another potential application are billing tests of data services.
LTS can count the transmitted, lost or repeated packets, measure data throughput, and exact communication times, from which call data records can be generated.
Performance can be benchmarked against competitors. |
